Jon Lester with a fun outing Thursday versus Milwaukee
by Jamie Mellor | Fri, Apr 6th 4:12am EDT
Jon Lester went six scoreless innings with six strikeouts. However, I believe that the turning point in the game came from Ryan Braun. He stole second in the first inning and then tried to steal third before Lester even threw a pitch. Lester threw him out and suddenly everyone including Braun was laughing and having fun. The next half-inning the Cubs would return the free-wheeling style on the basepaths to score three runs.
Fantasy Impact:
Lester holds the possibility of being amazing. He has had recent seasons with ERAs in the 2's. He went 19-5 in 2016. He has struck out at least 180 in each of the last four seasons. However, he also had a 4.33 ERA last season with the worst strikeout total of those four seasons with 180. He is trustworthy to be a solid starter in most leagues at the very least as long as he stays healthy.
