Anthony Rizzo is being placed on the 10-day disabled list with a back injury, according to Cubs beat writer Gordon Wittenmyer on Twitter. The move is backdated to Friday, April 6, meaning Rizzo is eligible to be activated as early as Monday, April 16, when the Cubs open up a series against the St. Louis Cardinals at home. Fantasy Impact:

Wittenmyer adds that there has not been a setback for Rizzo. The team just wanted to be cautious and did not want to continue to play shorthanded. Rizzo is expected to be ready to play when he is eligible to be activated a week from today.
