Jacob deGrom dominates Nationals before Mets’ pen blows game

by Nicky Tapas | Mets Correspondent | Mon, Apr 16th 11:05pm EDT

Jacob deGrom dominated the Nationals for 7 1/3 innings before the Mets’ bullpen suffered a complete meltdown in the Mets’ 8-6 loss on Monday. deGrom struck out 12 and allowed only six hits and one walk during his start on Monday. While he was charged with three earned runs, two of those runs scored after he departed in the eighth inning courtesy of Seth Lugo and Jerry Blevins. deGrom did not factor into the decision on Monday.

Fantasy Impact:

deGrom’s start on Monday was his best of the young season. He remains one of the top fantasy SP options in all formats and should remain active on all rosters.
