Carlos Gomez went 0-for-3 and was hit by a pitch and scored a run in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Rangers. The run scored was Gomez's eighth so far on the season, while his batting average dropped to .162 and his on-base percentage to .230.
Fantasy Impact:
Gomez got plunked at the right time, as he scored during the Rays three-run bottom of the sixth, which gave them a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Gomez still isn't producing enough with the bat, but he didn't record a strikeout for the second time in three games. Leave him on the waiver wire for now.
