Luis Perdomo optioned to AAA El Paso after another poor outing

Luis Perdomo was optioned to Triple-A El Paso Thursday afternoon after giving up nine runs (seven earned) on 10 hits in just three innings pitched Wednesday night against the Dodgers. RP Kirby Yates (ankle) has been activated from the DL in his stead. (Kevin Acee on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Perdomo (1-2, 8.36 ERA) has struggled tremendously this season and showed Wednesday that he could use some time in the minors to refine his game. The Padres are trying to determine who on their roster can make positive contributions to a future winning team, and Perdomo simply has not shown that ability or potential so far in his career.
