Jason Hammel threw 101 pitches over 9 innings Friday afternoon, but the Royals still fell to Detroit in extra innings. Hammel struck out four batters and only allowed two earned runs, but JaCoby Jones homered off Brad Keller in the 10th inning for the walk off win.
Fantasy Impact:
Hammel is a 35 year-old innings eater for a struggling Kansas City ball club. He was 8-13 last year, and it looks like he's headed down a similar path this season. He isn't an advisable option in any format.
