Danny Duffy threw 101 pitches over 4 2/3 innings on Saturday. He gave up six earned runs and took the loss in Detroit. Duffy surrendered 10 hits and struck out only two batters. He was forced to start on short rest due to the Royals playing two double headers in the last four days.
Fantasy Impact:
This was not the outing owners were hoping for against a Detroit team that has low expectations. Duffy said he felt fine on short rest, but he struggled with command and the Royals' bullpen couldn't bail out the starter. Duffy is still looking for his first win of the season.
