Jeremy Jeffress picks up win in Brewers' walk-off win

by Brad Richter | Sun, Apr 22nd 7:48am EDT

Jeremy Jeffress (2-0) came on to pitch the top of the ninth inning with the game tied at five against the Marlins on Saturday. Jeffress delivered a 1-2-3 inning with one strikeout and was rewarded with a win after Jesus Aguilar hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth for a 6-5 Brewers' win.

Fantasy Impact:

This was the second win of the season for Jeffress who has pitched very well in middle relief for the Brewers with a 0.77 ERA in 12 appearances (11 2/3 innings). Jeffress has not been in the mix for saves with Corey Knebel out so he can be left on the waiver wire in all leagues.
