Whit Merrifield hits third home run Sunday

Whit Merrifield, who led off and played first base on Sunday, went 1-for-5 with a home run in a win over the Detroit Tigers. The home run was Merrifield's third of the season and his third in the last four days.
Fantasy Impact:
After a slow start, Merrifield is finally starting to heat up at the plate. He hit his first home run earlier in the week and then went 4-for-10 with another home run in Friday's doubleheader. The start at first base was his second of the season, meaning he needs three more to gain first base eligibility in many formats.
