Alex Gordon being activated from the disabled list Tuesday

by Mike Maher | Tue, Apr 24th 3:58pm EDT

Alex Gordon has been activated from the disabled list and is in the lineup for the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday, the team announced. He is playing left field and batting seventh. Catcher Salvador Perez has also been activated and is batting cleanup. (Kansas City Royals on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Gordon had been struggling to the tune of a .174 batting average with no home runs, RBIs, or runs scored in seven games prior to hitting the disabled list, so his return will likely not be celebrated as much as that of Salvador Perez. Gordon is also coming off the worst offensive season of his career, batting .208 with just nine home runs in 476 at-bats, so he will need to show some consistent production before fantasy owners can trust him in any format.
