by Mike Maher | White Sox Correspondent | Thu, Apr 26th 7:42am EDT

Tommy Pham exited Wednesday's game against the New York Mets with "an accidental head laceration," according to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Goold adds that Pham injured himself in the batting cage when a “hitting contraption” of his design snapped the bat barrel back and caught him in the head. (Derrick Goold on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

The severity of Pham's injury is not yet known, but it was at least significant enough for him to be removed from the game. Consider him day-to-day for now, and an update on his status should be available sometime on Thursday. Pham is hitting .343 with three home runs, five stolen bases, seven RBIs, and 19 runs scored.
