Clay Buchholz released by Royals

Clay Buchholz was released by the Royals on Tuesday. He had an opt-out clause in his contract if he wasn't called up to the majors by May 1, and Kansas City wasn't going to modify their rotation.
Fantasy Impact:
Still working his way back from forearm surgery in 2017, Buchholz will now become a free agent. The two-time All Star will have to get signed and prove himself in the majors before garnering attention from fantasy owners.
