Wade Miley tosses quality start for win in Brewers debut

by Brad Richter | Brewers Correspondent | Thu, May 3rd 6:46am EDT

Making his first start in a Brewers uniform, Wade Miley (1-0) threw six innings of one-run ball to pick up a win in the 3-1 victory over the Reds. Miley gave up three hits and three walks while striking out four on 97 pitches.

Fantasy Impact:

Miley pitched well in his Brewers debut against the Reds. Miley had an ERA north of 4.46 in each of his last three seasons while pitching in the American League, however, during his first four seasons with the Diamondbacks, he had an ERA of 4.50 or lower in each season including a 3.33 mark with 16 wins in 2012. Keep an eye on Miley in deep mixed leagues as he could be used as a streaming option in the right matchup. His next start is not one of those matchups against the Indians next Wednesday.
