Sean Manaea roughed up for first loss in four starts

by Waleed Hawatky | Mets Correspondent | Fri, May 4th 12:30pm EDT

Sean Manaea surrendered four runs on six hits across six innings while striking out five and walking none in Oakland's 4-1 loss to Seattle.

Fantasy Impact:

Manaea was generally done in by the top of the order as Robinson Canó and Dee Gordon linked up twice to score the first two runs, once in the first inning and again in the third with Canó coming home on Nelson Cruz' third inning two run shot. Otherwise, the impressive young hurler was solid. The four runs given up were the first time all year that he had even surrendered more than a single run. Still very much the ace of the A's rotation and their best fantasy pitcher, he'll take a 4-3 record, 1.63 ERA and a 0.66 WHIP into his next start against the Astros.
