Mark Trumbo singles twice in early blowout loss

by Michael Felner | Wed, May 9th 4:02pm EDT

Mark Trumbo pitched in with a pair of singles and a run scored against the Royals on Tuesday, but he also left five Orioles stranded on base as Baltimore suffered their 27th loss. They now have the worst record in the majors.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a small sample size, but Trumbo is batting .310 since missing the start of the season due to a quad injury. However, over 29 plate appearances, he has yet to hit a home run and has only logged one RBI. The 32 year-old couldn't repeat his 2016 success last year, so there is little reason to hope he will do so this year. He may still provide some pop, but it will also come with a lot of strikeouts.
