Addison Reed pitched the eighth inning of Sunday’s game against the Angels, allowing just one hit. The Halos proceeded to rally after that, and Zach Duke picked up the loss.
Fantasy Impact:
Reed has pitched okay this year, but he has not done enough to unseat Fernando Rodney in the closer’s role. Reed sports a 2.61 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 20 Ks in 20 2/3 innings. While those are solid numbers, they are skewed by Reed’s great performances in non high-leverage situations.
