Justin Verlander pitched a gem, going the full nine innings, scattering five hits while walking one and striking out seven. The Astros beat the Angels' 2-0.
Fantasy Impact:
Verlander has been straight dealing in 2018, owning a 5-2 record with a minuscule 1.08 ERA. He has 84 strikeouts in 68 2/3 IP and his WHIP is 0.71. All of those numbers make his fantasy owners extremely happy as well as Houston Astros fans. Verlander is among the early front-runners for another AL Cy Young award.
