Edwin Diaz shuts down Tigers to earn his 15th save of the season

Edwin Diaz retired the Tigers in order in the ninth inning on Friday night to record his 15th save of the season. He struck out one batter and gave up one hit.

Diaz allowed a leadoff single to James McCann in the top of the ninth. After a line out and throwing out the runner trying to steal second, Diaz brought the filth to strikeout Mikie Mahtook on four pitches. 99 mph fastball, 90 mph slider, 99 mph fastball, and 90 mph slider.
