Randal Grichuk to begin rehab assignment

by Matthew Fox | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Tue, May 22nd 11:16am EDT

Blue Jays' outfielder, Randal Grichuk, will begin his rehab assignment on Tuesday with the team's minor league affiliate in Dunedin.

Fantasy Impact:

Grichuk has been sidelined with a knee injury but he is expected to begin his rehab assignment on Tuesday. The 26-year-old outfielder has struggled to the tune of a 31.2 percent K rate and .106/.208/.227 batting line through 77 plate appearances in 2018. With Teoscar Hernandez, Kevin Pillar, and Curtis Granderson playing well, it is hard to imagine Grichuk carving out an every day starting role on the team going forward. Grichuk flashed 20-plus home run upside in 2016 with the Cardinals but he is best left on waivers until he shows signs of life.
