Max Scherzer collects eighth win Friday over the Marlins

Max Scherzer improved to 8-1 after the Nationals beat the Marlins 9-5 on Friday. He pitched six innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out four and walking two.
Fantasy Impact:
Scherzer wasn't at his sharpest, but if this constitutes a bad start then Scherzer owners can live with it. His ERA fell to 2.13 and his K/9 fell to 13.56. This was the first time all season he allowed more than two earned runs and had a K/9 under 10. His next start comes Wednesday against the Orioles in Baltimore.
