Brandon McCarthy allowed five runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out two over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Monday.
Fantasy Impact:
McCarthy continues to mix in clunkers with his quality starts, and that combined with his below-average strikeout numbers make him a volatile option in fantasy. In his last six starts, he has allowed just one run three times but allowed five, six, and eight runs in his other three starts.
