Mallex Smith knocks in only run in Monday's win

by Matt Wiswell | Mariners Correspondent | Tue, May 29th 2:27pm EDT

Mallex Smith went 2-for-6 with a double and RBI single in Monday's 1-0 extra-inning win over the A's. Smith batted in the leadoff spot after Brad Miller (face) was a late scratch from the lineup. Smith is now slashing .297/.371/.394 through 155 at-bats.

Fantasy Impact:

Smith has now hit safely in five straight games, and his batting average has plateaued at just under .300. Smith has picked up an RBI in back-to-back games, which is encouraging. Smith's value should see a small increase if he sees more time at the top of the lineup.
