Stephen Strasburg leaves start with forearm cramp Friday

by Elliott Baas | Fri, Jun 1st 10:12pm EDT

Stephen Strasburg left his start Friday after 6.2 innings with a forearm cramp in his non-throwing arm. He had allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and struck out ten before leaving. (Chelsea Janes on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Strasburg had thrown 107 pitches before leaving, so it was likely that he was leaving the game after the inning anyway, but this is certainly concerning for a pitcher with a long injury history. The good news is that the injury is to his non-throwing arm, so the pain he felt may not be a harbinger of doom. We'll find out more about his status as he undergoes medical treatment.
