Victor Martinez went 0-for-1 in a pinch-hit at-bat in Monday's first game, and 2-for-3 with an RBI double, single, and a walk in the second games as the Tigers split the doubleheader with the Yankees, losing 4-7 and winning 4-2. Martinez now has 23 RBI on the season to go along with a .257 batting average.
Fantasy Impact:
Martinez has picked it up in the past seven days, posting a .350 batting average to go along with two doubles and two walks. While his numbers are down across the board, it's reasonable to expect regression from the 15-year veteran. Still, Martinez can provide some value, especially in AL-only leagues.
