Josh Bell drives in run on a force out Wednesday

by Ryan Orndorff | Marlins Correspondent | Thu, Jun 7th 8:04am EDT

Josh Bell pinch hit and drove in a run on a force out, going 0-for-1 with an RBI on Wednesday as the Pirates defeated the Dodgers.

Fantasy Impact:

Josh Bell did not get the start, but pinch hit for Trevor Williams in the third inning. He managed to reach on a force out, scoring David Freese. Bell sat in favor of Freese at first base on Wednesday. He has been in a bad slump lately, hitting .091 in his last seven games. Bell has not been able to replicate his pace in home runs or average from his past couple of years. His plate discipline is still intact and he is still hitting the ball hard as often as he always had, however his home run to fly ball rate is down. We should see Bell regress in a positive manner, hitting better as the season continues.
