Juan Nicasio (knee) placed on the DL

The Mariners have placed reliever Juan Nicasio on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to June 7, with a right knee effusion.
Fantasy Impact:
Nicasio's injury is not considered to be serious, as continued pressure on what has been bothering him for a while simply increased the swelling. He will still be able to play catch and work his arm, but will be prohibited from running until the swelling diminishes. Nicasio admitted that the pain affected his fastball command in Houston on Wednesday, when he gave up three runs on four hits and did not record an out in the Mariners' loss to the Astros.
