Jhoulys Chacin collects fifth win Friday in Brewers rout

by Brad Richter | Brewers Correspondent | Sat, Jun 9th 8:43am EDT

Jhoulys Chacin (5-1) was staked to a big early lead by the Brewers offense and cruised to a win in the 12-4 rout over the Phillies. He cruised through six innings allowing just one run before allowing three runs in the seventh to finish with 6 1/3 innings pitched allowing four runs on five hits. Chacin walked one and struck out seven in the 93-pitch effort.

Fantasy Impact:

It would have been better for fantasy owners if Chacin didn't come out to pitch in the seventh inning but overall he pitched well again while picking up his fifth win of the season. His seven strikeouts on Friday matched a season-high. Chacin is scheduled to face the Cubs in Milwaukee for his next start on Wednesday.
