Justin Smoak goes 0-for-4 against the Rays

by Matthew Fox | Wed, Jun 13th 9:16pm EDT

Justin Smoak was held without a hit on Wednesday, going 0-for-4 during the Blue Jays' 1-0 loss to the Rays.

Fantasy Impact:

The veteran first baseman has played very poorly as of late, going just 1-for-27 with 10 Ks over the last eight games. This slump has caused Smoak's slash line to tumble to a lackluster .229/.366/.417 on the year. The recent struggles have been frustrating but expect Smoak to break out of this slump soon. He should still be viewed as a quality corner infielder going forward.
