Jacob deGrom takes tough luck loss once again Wednesday

by Mike Maher | Mets Correspondent | Thu, Jun 14th 8:54am EDT

Jacob deGrom allowed one run on seven hits and no walks while striking out seven over seven innings against the Braves on Wednesday, but he took the loss as the Braves defeated the Mets 2-0.

Fantasy Impact:

deGrom has thrown five straight quality starts in which he has gone at least seven innings and given up two or fewer runs and is 0-2 during that span. It just doesn't get much more unlucky than that. Despite that rotten luck, deGrom has still been excellent this season. Through 14 starts, he has a 1.55 ERA and 113 strikeouts over 87 1/3 innings.
