Evan Longoria suffers fractured hand

Evan Longoria has suffered a fractured the fifth metacarpal on his left hand. He was injured when he was hit on the hand by a pitch Thursday. It's not clear how long Longoria will be sidelined by the injury, but it figures to be for an extended stretch. (Kerry Crowley on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Longoria was batting .246 with 10 home runs and 34 RBIs this season. Kelby Tomlinson will likely take over at third base for the Giants, which even with Longoria's struggles this year still represents a significant downgrade for the Giants.
