Clay Buchholz pitches well in no-decision Sunday

by Mike Maher | Mon, Jun 18th 1:08pm EDT

Clay Buchholz allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks while striking out three over 5 2/3 innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Mets.

Fantasy Impact:

Buchholz bounced back after allowing five runs against the Pirates last time out, and he managed to get his ERA back down to 2.94 in the process. The 33-year-old right-hander has looked solid through six starts with the Diamondbacks, with his last start being the only blemish thus far. He has not been able to have consistent success while also staying healthy for an extended period of time in several years now, so he will have plenty of skeptics going forward. For now, though, he is pitching well and has been limiting mistakes. He will look to keep that momentum rolling when he takes on the Pirates in Pittsburgh in his next start.
