Kelvin Herrera being traded to Nationals

Kansas City Royals closer Kelvin Herrera is headed to the Washington Nationals in a trade, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports. Outfielder Blake Perkins, third baseman Kelvin Gutierrez, and right-hander Yohanse Morel are headed to the Royals in the deal, according to MLB insider Jon Heyman. (Chelsea Janes on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Nationals closer Sean Doolittle is having an excellent season, so Herrera is likely joining Washington's bullpen as a setup man. Herrera's value will take a hit in league's that do not reward holds, but he goes from one of the worst teams in baseball to one expected to contend for a playoff birth. The Nationals already have Ryan Madson and Brandon Kintzler as late-inning options, but with the former recently back from a stint on the disabled list and the latter there now, Herrera should step in as the top option for day's when Doolittle is not available.
