Jefry Rodriguez made his first career start on Tuesday, pitching five innings and allowing five earned runs on four hits while walking three and striking out six. He took a no decision as the Nationals beat the Orioles 9-7.
Fantasy Impact:
Six strikeouts in five innings is certainly encouraging, but he also allowed two home runs in this start. It was ultimately a lackluster performance against a weak team, as the Orioles have a .290 wOBA against right-handed pitching, the third worst mark in the majors. If Rodriguez starts again it would come on Sunday at home against the Phillies.
