Christian Villanueva went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Athletics. The home run was his 16th of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Villanueva has shown streaky power this season but not consistent production, as evidenced by his .228 batting average and a severe slump in June that has led to frequent days off. While his home run potential is enticing, he will have to start producing more consistently for both fantasy owners (and the Padres organization) to have him in their lineups on an everyday basis.
