Lucas Giolito allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over seven innings in Friday night's win over the A's. He struck out eight and earned the win, moving to 5-7 on the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Giolito's outing lowered his ERA to . . . 7.01 on the season. You're obviously not relying on him at this point, but it's worth noting that he looked noticeably sharper in this game than he has in past ones, throwing 69% of his pitches for strikes, a season high. It's unlikely that you'll ever feel comfortable inserting him into fantasy lineups this season, but certainly don't give up in keeper or dynasty formats.
