Jedd Gyorko starts July by reaching base twice

by Collin Moran | Mon, Jul 2nd 11:16am EDT

Jedd Gyorko went 1-for-3 with a single and a run scored in a loss to the Braves. He also walked once and struck out once.

Fantasy Impact:

Not that this was a great day for Gyorko, it is encouraging to see him get a hit in the first game of July seeing as he had a horrendous slash line of .159/.169/.270 in June. Gyorko is not known for his batting average but he can usually help owners out by hitting home runs, something he is not doing this year either (5 HR in 2018). The veteran infielder is not worth owning in the majority of leagues until he starts to show signs of turning his season around.
