Justin Verlander pitched six shutout innings, allowing three hits while striking out six batters. The Astros' beat the A's in extra innings 6-5.

Verlander was on his game, allowing only those three hits, but his pitch count was inflated, throwing 110 pitches in six innings. He was able to lower his ERA to 2.05 on the season and his WHIP is a minuscule 0.83. Bottom line, Verlander is a true ace on your fantasy team and is as close to a 'sure-thing' every time he steps on the rubber.
