Lance McCullers struggles with command in loss to A's

by Dan Schalk | Astros Correspondent | Thu, Jul 12th 7:35am EDT

Lance McCullers lasted only four innings, allowing six runs on four hits, but his downfall was his free passes, issuing five of them. He only struck out one batter. The Astros' lost to the Athletics 8-3.

Fantasy Impact:

This outing ended McCullers' run of seven consecutive starts lasting at least six innings. His six runs allowed ballooned his ERA from 3.41 to 3.77. All that being said, McCullers has a history of one bad start sandwiched in between his usual stellar-self. Owners should look past this game, and continue to start McCullers with confidence.
