Jeremy Hellickson secures second quality start and fourth win Sunday

by Elliott Baas | Sun, Jul 15th 5:22pm EDT

Jeremy Hellickson improved to 4-1 on Sunday, allowing one run on two hits in six innings in the Nationals' 6-1 win over the Mets. He struck out six and walked two.

Fantasy Impact:

It was nice to see Hellickson go six innings in this start, as this was only the second time he's completed six innings this season. He doesn't get many strikeouts, but Hellickson has his best FIP (3.91) since his rookie year and best walk rate (4.4%) of his career. Hopefully his solid performances thus far will afford him more leash going into the second half.
