Patrick Corbin closes out first half with a dud

by Dan Harris | Nationals Correspondent | Mon, Jul 16th 4:20pm EDT

Patrick Corbin allowed four runs on six hits and a walk over six innings on Sunday against the Braves. He struck out three and took the loss, falling to 6-4.

Fantasy Impact:

Overall, it was an excellent first half for Corbin, who pitched to a 3.24 ERA, a 1.05 WHIP, and 149 strikeouts in 122 1/3 innings. He's had some bumps in the road in recent weeks, allowing at least four earned runs in four of his last nine starts. Overall, however, he remains one of the more effective pitchers in fantasy baseball, and there's little to suggest that a slowdown is on the horizon.
