Edwin Jackson takes the loss Friday despite quality start
by Dan Harris | Sat, Jul 21st 9:18am EDT
Edwin Jackson allowed three runs on four hits and a walk over 6 1/3 innings on Friday against the Giants. He struck out six but took the loss, falling to 1-2.
Fantasy Impact:
Jackson remains in one of his "good" stretches, and he's compiled a 2.93 ERA with a 0.95 WHIP thus far this season. Jackson has a career 4.64 ERA and 1.45 WHIP, so it's unlikely that he's suddenly figured things out at 34 years old. But, he's shown he can sustain these streaks of excellence for awhile, so owners who like to take risks can feel free to deploy him against the Rangers next week.
