Darren O'Day has been traded to the Braves along with teammate Kevin Gausman ahead of the trade deadline Tuesday. The Braves will send minor league prospects RHP Evan Phillips, INF Jean Carlos Encarnación, C Brett Cumberland, LHP Bruce Zimmerman and international signing slots over to Baltimore in exchange. Darren O'Day is out for the 2018 season as he had surgery to repair a strained hamstring last month. He is under contract for the 2019 season for $9 million.
