Marco Gonzales allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out four batters over five innings to get the loss in Oakland on Monday.
Fantasy Impact:
Over the month of August, Gonzales is 0-3 with a 7.94 ERA and 1.76 WHIP. He has allowed 15 runs on 27 hits in only 17 innings, and opponents are raking a cool .355 against him. On the positive side, the young lefty did not allow a home run for the first time in his last five starts. Fantasy managers should consider dropping or benching Gonzales prior to his next scheduled start against the Dodgers on Saturday.
