Jhoulys Chacin (12-4) shut down the Cubs bats on Tuesday tossing seven scoreless innings while allowing just three hits. He walked a pair and struck out a season-high 10 in the 105-pitch effort during a 7-0 win.

Chacin had his best outing of the season in a big divisional matchup against the Cubs on Tuesday resulting in his 12th win of the season while lowering his ERA down to 3.72. His next scheduled start will come at home against the Reds on Monday. Chacin has a 4.82 ERA in two starts versus the Reds this season.
