Joey Votto was put on the 10-day disabled list retroactive to Thursday due to a right lower-leg contusion. (Reds on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Votto has been dealing with the leg injury since August 4th when he was hit by a pitch thrown by Ryan Madson of the Nationals. The lingering discomfort is forcing Votto to take some time off. Expect the veteran first baseman to come off the disabled list when he is eligible on August 26.
