Michael Kopech has UCL damage according to the team and Tommy John surgery is being recommended. He's expected to be ready for Spring Training in 2020. (Chicago White Sox)
Fantasy Impact:
This is the worst news for both the White Sox and the young pitcher. His velocity was recently down and with the timing of the injury, his fantasy value takes a significant hit as he'll miss all of 2019. Pitchers have returned from Tommy John successfully so this isn't a career-ender, but it's certainly not the start most hoped for from the top pitching prospect.
