Corey Kluber rebounds with dominant outing Tuesday

by Carmen Maiorano | Wed, Sep 19th 9:31am EDT

Corey Kluber posted a nice stat line on Tuesday against the White Sox, allowing just three runs over eight innings of work. He surrendered eight hits and two walks while striking out 11. The majority of the damage came on Daniel Palka and Omar Narvaez solo homers. The Indians won 5-3, giving Kluber his 19th win.

Fantasy Impact:

Kluber has had an up-and-down second half, but is looking to head into the playoffs on a positive note. His Cy-Young like numbers include a 2.93 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 205 Ks in 203 innings. He will likely have just one more start, as manager Terry Francona has said he will be skipped once to get him ready for the ALDS.
