Joe Jimenez picks up win over Kansas City

by Michael Felner | Tigers Correspondent | Sun, Sep 23rd 12:37pm EDT

Joe Jimenez was charged with a blown save on Saturday against the Royals, but he also picked up the win after Mikie Mahtook launched a go-ahead, two-run home run in the eighth to bail him out. He allowed a run on two hits and struck out a batter.

Fantasy Impact:

Jimenez has an ERA that's a full point lower than closer Shane Greene's, but this is the setup man's fourth blown save in seven chances. Unless the Tigers add arms in the offseason, all signs point to this situation remaining the same next year.
