J.D. Martinez struck out twice and walked twice as the Red Sox defeated the Orioles 6-2 on Monday.

The win for Boston was number 106 in 2018, setting the team's all-time record for victories. Martinez was an enormous part of every one of them this season, and he will conclude the campaign in the running for MVP. An example of his immense value is a game like Monday, where he struggled mightily at the plate but still managed to reach base twice. He will be looking to carry Boston into the playoffs and beyond in October.
