Carlos Carrasco loses in relief Tuesday

by Carmen Maiorano | Guardians Correspondent | Wed, Sep 26th 7:42am EDT

Carlos Carrasco pitched in relief on Tuesday against the White Sox, as the Indians stretched out Trevor Bauer for four innings prior to Carrasco coming on. Carrasco allowed three runs on four hits and four walks over 4 1/3 innings, and struck out eight. He allowed a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to drop his record to 16-10.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite this loss, Carrasco has been tremendous over the past month (2.93 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 58 Ks in 40 innings), and should not be dropped until it is confirmed that he is not making another start. He should start the final regular season game against the Royals on Sunday. Carrasco is a top 50 fantasy player, and will be treated as such come 2019.
